hello dear members

I am looking for tips on welding of Copper-Nickle Pipe. Which parameter is highlighted in this material when welding is performed with different process (Tig, SMAW)?

thanks

TIG welding seems to be the most successful method.

But, which copper-nickle alloy are you talking about ? There are several ....

I have only a little experience with copper-nickle piping (90% Cu and 10%Ni).....

All of the SMAW welders and pipe fitters said it was nearly impossible to weld because the weld puddle would freeze so quickly ..... Copper, of course, has one of the highest coefficients of heat transfer

I suggest you go to your search window and enter 'CU/NI welding videos'. WOW. The videos are awsome. CU/NI cleanliness, fit up & welding is shown in detail. I have been involved with CU/NI welding & CU/NI tube removal.
