Hello there

I am facing to following topic.
Very specific, and old post can't help me, unfortunately.

I am dealing with a cooling coil, and volumetric air flow at OUTLET is given to me.

Known data are:
- air inlet temperature
- air inlet relative humidity
- coil capacity

It is a strange problem:
- since air I estimate there will be dehumidification I assume mass flow won't conserve.
Therefore I can't calculate air outlet mass flow and consider it constant.

Any suggestion of how determining inlet volumetric air flow ?

The volumetric inlet flow = volumetric outflow.

From conservation of mass, inlet lb/hr = outlet lbs/hr-condensate removed.

If outlet air wet bulb is known, the latent heat removal can be calculated and thus lb/hr of condensate removed.
Otherwise, no unique solution, since outlet wet bulb depends on latent capacity of the cooling coil.
