The company I work for manufacture's conveyor belt scales. I am trying to find some information/ guideliness to estimate a "deadload" weight that will be on the scale based upon the size of the customer's coneyor. Can someone provide me with some good reference numbers for belting and typical idler weights?

Thanks.

Conveyor weight may vary depending on who manufacture's the unit, but they are probably all pretty close. If possible, when someone gets ready to buy a scale, if they could tell you who is making the conveyor, the model, length, and width, you can go to their website and look through a catalog. Most of the manufacturer's have catalogs up for download. If you go the CEMA website, they have a list of member websites in the "MA" section.
