Hi all,

Is it possible to convert a pro e 3D model to Autocad 3D. I need it desperately. Please give me a solution.

just check out with neutral file will open in autocad

I remember that we have tried with IGES

may be u require mechanical desktop or Inventor in between proe and autocad

Ya its possible I did itlong back.

Save pro-e model as ACIS (*.sat) and you can import it in autocad by using import command.

I think this will help.

Thank you for your reply.

I think it is not possible in Pro e 2001

From my experience, an ACIS (*.sat) is the best option for importing into AutoCAD. However, not all versions of AutoCAD will except all versions of ACIS.

For example, a client needed to import a part file into AutoCAD 2002. Pro-E could export several versions of ACIS, but AutoCAD 2002 would only import ACIS version 4.0 and earlier. We determined this through testing.
