convert entities

to use convert entities feature do we have to be in the edit skecth mode always?

To convert an entity:

In an open sketch, click a model edge, loop, face, curve, external sketch contour, set of edges, or set of curves.

I'm curious. What would you expect to happen if you were not in edit sketch mode?

Maybe "nidanaya" is an expert practitioner of Slight Of Mouse techniques and can will greyed out icons into a working state like a hypnotist.

Thinking outside the Sketch Toolbar has happened to several of us I'm sure.
