Controlling Email notification with Ilink Release Procedures

We are on Ilink 3.0 and have become comfortable enough with it to implement the release procedure functionality incorporated into Ilink. After setting all the email notification and distribution list we realized that objects from the same folder actually need to be approved by different persons depending on the job. What we dont like is having everybody on the notification list receiving an email that they have objects to be approved when, in reality, that object was meant to be approved by somebody else on the list of "Approvers". Has anyone found a way around this or do people just deal with it?
