Hi All,

Is there any way to control the driving dimension of a 'Feature' by a tolerance/precision?

To make it more elaborate,

1.We can always give tolerance limits for dimensions of sketch(While creating Model) so that we can autocatically call that dimension(including tolerance) in the drawing sheet.

2.But we cannot give tolerance to feature,
For Example,
1. say cutting(machining) to a depth by 'Cut extrude'
feature.
2. creating a boss extruded boss to a lenght/depth.
3. While creating a precise hole using hole feature.

The above cases are some typical cases where you want to control dimensions precisely.

I know we can always give tolerances to dimensions manually in drawing sheet. But please tell me if there is an another better way of doing, if you faced any thing like this before.

Please discuss, what is the standard way of doing?

mkp520,

Try double clicking on the feature. This gives you access to extra dimensions, allowing you to apply tolerances.
