Control valve sizing.

Hi,
With regards to control valve sizing can anyone point me in the direction of the standard/steps that are required to properly size a control valve.

General rules of thumb for pneumatically controlled valves:
1) Try to make all flow scenarios fit between 20% open percentage and 80% open percentage
2) dP at design point should be 10 psi or 10% system pressure, greater of the two
3) Typically the valve will end up being one line size smaller (ie, 4" valve in a 6" line)


That's the absolute basics and then you get quotes/manufacturer data and figure out which valve will work best.
