Hi All,

We do have 6" submersible Pump in house. It is 80 L/s at 12mt head.
We would like to use this pump for filter Wet testing which require around 20L/S at 4mt residue head. Delivery head is 6mt.
Can this pump be use if two parallel pipe system with gate vale? One goes back to tank ad other line use for intended purpose (20 l/s).
With all hose & fittings, how thrust effect can be handle on tee fitting with gate valve where flow should be control.

Thanks for your valuable time in advance.

With all hose & fittings, the thrust will be absorbed through the hose and fittings. The gate valve is a slow closing valve type that should prevent instantaneous closure and high thrust.

I suggest to sketch your system and possibly upload the pump curve for getting a better help. pipe diameter ?, lengths?
