Control a surface with a sketch dimension (NX8) 1

Haven't used sketcher much in UG at all and have a question.

I have a surface that was created outside of sketcher and I want it to rotate when I change an angle dimension in a sketch. Is this possible in NX8?

Are the surface and the sketch contained in the same part file?

If so, make note of the expression name assigned to the sketch angle (if the system assigned a name it will look something like "p[integer]", such as "p12"). Start the 'move object' command and select the surface; choose the vector and point information and for the angle value enter the expression name ("p12" for our example). In the 'settings' section, turn off the 'move parents' option and turn on the 'associative' option. When you OK the dialog, the surface should move as specified and it will be controlled by the sketch angle value (which you can change either in the sketch itself or in the expression dialog).

Hi John,

Here is a picture of what I was trying to do. What crowski suggested worked fine. Very simple problem that I could not figure out. I usually use motion and arrangements but this particular file is for a colleague that does not use NX much.

If there are additional ways of doing the same task I am all ears.
