Hi everyone,
I have the following problem:

I have modelled a plate with continuum shell elements and impact it with an rigid body. My first modells were quite alright with the plate deforming and the impactor bouncing back.
Now i somehow changed something (I don't know what) and the plate seems not to deform anymore and there is no stressfield in output (means all stresses are zero at all times). The impactor still bounces back.

Does anyone know waht might cause this problem?
Many thanks!
Fabian

Use Winmerge to compare input files and to see what it is you've altered.
No stress field in the output doesn't mean that there are zero stresses everywhere, as these would be output as zero. It just means you've forgotten to add them into the output. Otherwise it'd be difficult to know what you've done.

Thank you for your reply! I had a look in the output files again and it seems that in my altered models the shell doesn't deform at all while before a clear deformation was visible.
I tried to compare the input files, but for me it just looks like I changed the mesh and the dimensions of the plate.

Cheers,
Fabian
