Hello everyone, I am analysing a bolted joint and i am trying to get the bolt load when an eccentric load is applied on the joint. So, i check the CFT which is the contact force to get the bolt load. I want to know if thats right.I have defined bolt as the slave and the panel as the master. The reason why i am asking this question is- theroitically speaking when an external load is applied to the joint part of the load is taken by the joint and the rest by the bolt. but what i am observing is when i apply large external load say 300 lbs. When i check CFT2 considering that 2 is the transverse direction, i get the bolt load as 1500. This is really weird as the bolt preload is 1167 and even if i apply 300 lbs the bolt load shldnt reach 1500..so , i was wondering if CFT is the right force to check to get the bolt load? any help is appreciated with regards to this. Thanks

Can anybody help me plzzzzz
