I am doing a contact analysis.

One part is liked a nail
Another part is just a thin board

The nail is penetrated into the board, a force is acted to the end of the nail,
seehow the board suffer the stress.

After run the analysis, the board deform, but there isonly stress appear on the head of nail but not the deformed nail....really don't why!

Any member can help me? THank YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple of really quick things to look for:

1) did you change the scale of the legend? could be keeping you from seeing the stresses.

2) to help the mesh and make sure the contacts are legit I generally add regions to the model and then hand assign the contacts between the regions. I'll do this by modifying the dimensions so that there is a good visable gap between the parts, and then modify back so they are very close to contact, then create the mesh. With a model like yours (cylidrical) I would generally go for regions at most 30
