Hi everybody.

I'm a little stuck with a problem. I use a displacement boundary conditions applied to a reference node. It is very similar to what this video does: The problem is when I use the same equation constraint my part doesn't move (nothing happens) and I recieve the warnings:

MPCS (EXTERNAL or INTERNAL, including those generated from rigid body definitions), KINEMATIC COUPLINGS, AND/OR EQUATIONS WILL ACTIVATE ADDITIONAL DEGREES OF FREEDOM
Boundary conditions are specified on inactive dof of 1 nodes. The nodes have been identified in node set WarnNodeBCInactiveDof.

When i run it with coupling constrain everything works fine but as a understand from the theory guide, I can't read out the reaction force from a coupling constrain since the node is not properly constrained.
Any suggestions?

Best regards

You should check first what node is reported in that set.

And in general: Reaction forces are generated on those nodes and DOFs, where a boundary condition is applied.
