Chilled water System with 3 Constant Flow Primary Chilled Water Pumps.

NEC requires local disconnect for all motors.

These pumps are fed from MCC starter buckets. MCC's are located in different room/area.

Do these pump motors usually come with integral disconnects or something? Or do you normally provide local disconnects for them nearby?

Vendor info is very difficult to obtain currently on this large project, that's why I'm asking in general.

Thanks

You must add a local disconnect, but check your code for exceptions.
In large industrial plants with;
A> A qualified maintenance staff
and
B> a written and enforced LOTO policy,
You may be able to lock out at the MCC bucket.
Don't try to push this exception in marginal cases.
You don't want to find yourself trying to justify a bad decision to a coroners inquest.
