I have a 3D deformable body that is being pulled with linear connectors attched to the other end. As the body is pulled there are stress concentrations at the location of teh connectors to the deformable body. Does anyone have a suggestion or a way to apply to connectors with out getting the larger stress concentrations?

Use a distributing coupling (in Abaqus/CAE -> Interaction Module -> Constraints) between the end of the connector and a set of nodes/surface where you want to distribute your load to.

thanks, that worked out well

what if you wanted to apply pressure first, then rotation. What would you use then? A constraint would not allow the diameter to increase so I am stuck with using connectors but don't know how to go about this...Thanks
