Connector Element

Hi, I,m new to ABAQUS/CAE.I interested to perform analysis using the connector elements. In the ABAQUS/Standard User's manual- there is no STEP-BY-STEP tutorial for the beginners... Anybody out there can show me how to start?

kukuk--Look for the "Getting Started with ABAQUS/Standard" Manual--if you don't have it in paper form, it IS available also with the on-line documentation. This is what you are looking for. It is a good beginning tutorial for the Standard solver.

is `editing keywords' the ONLY way to use connector element?what if I import parts from Pro/E ?(there is no numbered nodes in the part).
