Hi
I have two regions in my model. One is meshed with C3D8R for contact problem other region is complex and meshed with tet10 elements. At the partition boundary it becomes incompatible. How can I avoid this incompatibility? In one post it is mentioned that connect four C3D8R to two tet10 elements, how to do this?

nowadays the contact-glue is very good and should "glue" the 2 parts together. Very little extra work required. If the boundary is (very) far away from the areas of interest then any stress discontinuity ,etc can be ignored (as long as all the load is transfered trough the connection

I want to avoid this tie constraint at the interface.

And what do you want to do with the midnodes of the parabolic tets?
