First I draw a larger circle. Then I a horizontal line from the bottom quadrent point. I then draw a smaller circle on that line and want to be able to attach the small circle to the large circle with a tangent connection.

Thanks

draw the first circle
start the circle command
use a snap point (quad) for start point of next circle
then type in 2p (two point circle)
enter coords for end point of two pont circle

c enter
2p enter
@.5<270 (or whatever coordinate you need)

YOu can also try Circle
TTR
pick the line
pick the first circle
type the radius

Tangent snaps? Use line, not polyline.

TTR does exactly what I want. Thanks IFRs.

You're welcome. After using using Autocad since it came out I finally was able to help someone!!
