Connect variables to dimension value

Hello all,
I add in AutoCad 2006 two variables.

Firstly, constant "$Dim1= 3000"
Secondary, function "ddd=$Dim1-100"

How I can connect line geometry dimension value to function?
Is mean when I change constant automatically update line geometry dimension value.
