I am looking for advice on the design of reinforced concrete security walls designed to stop an 2000kg vehicle travelling at 50kph. Is there any available design guidelines for this topic? I am basically estimating the deceleration to determine the impact load and then designing a wall to resist sliding overturning and shearing due to the load. I applied dynamic increase factors to material strengths to account for the rate of loading however I still feel this is overly conservative. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
