My current concrete beam/ concrete structures program is slowly becoming obsolete. Has anyone found one worth looking into?

Staad Pro have been proven to be a really good analysis and design software for various structures. I think it's a good investment for a structural designer.

Have you looked at the discussions in Structural Engineers Forum recently on Structural Design Software ?

Actually I have, but as long as one doesn't rely entirely on the software for his/her designs. He/she should be responsible enough to review the output of any programs. After all, what program is bug-free?<br>

But all in all, I still think that staad is a good program to invest on since it can be used to analze and design a wide range of structures. But of course, it is too much if his only concern is to design concrete beams.<br>

Sorry for the long response time. &quot;Modern Steel Construction&quot; has a review of structural software every year. I can't remember which month it comes out but you might visit AISC's website (<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> to see if they have online archives.<br>

Try <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> which has a search engine that can pull out companies who specialise in the software you require.<br>
