Dear Memebers,
I'm new to NX and I'm currently working on developing a tool for comparing surfaces in two different parts. Later, I need to use the deviation in the parts to generate CAM program. I would request you to help me to start off with the project. Thank you.

Regards,
Raghav

Start by searching the help files for "model compare". It will show/report the differences between 2 files (or between 2 bodies in the same file).

Dear Cowski,
Thank you for your reply. I'm able to get the report based on the part comparison. As mentioned in my first post, I need to compare the part to identify and view the difference physically. After which I need to capture the CAD data in order to perform the CAM programming. I wish I can use intersect or subtract to get the difference and perform the CAM operation. Thank you once again for your reply and looking forward for further inputs from you in this regards.

Regards,
Raghav

Doing a boolean subtraction or intersection on two bodies that are almost (but not quite) the same is asking for trouble. You are asking the software to perform computations that are numerically ill-conditioned, and it's likely that there will be errors or undesirable results. Before you write any code, I suggest that you test your idea by doing interactive operations in NX. If the operations don't work interactively, then they won't work in your automated tool, either.
