The comment tag [username] apprear in the status line whenever the cursor is hovered over a commented cell. This tag [username] does not change even when the commented is edited by a different user. How do I remove the previous comment tag in the status line?

I network two computers with different usernames and have no problem just editing the current or previous user name out of the comment box using backspace or delete and transferring the files across the platforms with the edits intact.

Actually, I can do this even with protection on which baffles me a little but that's another story.

I'm sorry. I went back and re-read your question. In the STATUS line.
Yup, I have the same result that you get.
Just shows you. Read the question. Good thing it wasn't a test. [blush]

Now I feel guilty so I've been playing with this issue.
It seems that you need to delete and replace all the comments in order to set them all to the same author. If you want that author (presumably you) to be anonymous then use Tools/Options/General and set your username to "." (or whatever !)

Thanks David,
The idea here is to keep the comment from previous reviewers but the STATUS line shows only the first comment username, while the comment tag itself show the history of reviewers usernames. Probabaly this was Bill Gates wanted, but I was wishing to retain the last commentor username.
