Combining Mechanism

Is there a possible mechanism to combine two shafts which drive at different speeds, even with different torque ratios?

I like differential gears. Then if I stop, the other guy has to work twice as hard.

Are the wheels turning at different speeds, or are there multiple power inputs at different speeds?

I guess that a couple of small fluid torque converters could do this.

Capitalism*. The bicycle drives are a means of production- the direct shaft of work of a single cycle does whatever, grinding corn, generating electricity, turns an AC compressor or fans a banker. Part of the proceeds from market sales for fiat currency compensate the cyclist and the profits are used to purchase the desired product of combined cycling effort. If the rider provides the bike, and uses a phone app for on-demand staffing, you could call it CyclUber, or Blyft.

yeah, they are turning at different speeds, and the differential won't work, coz there has to be a constant ratio between the two inputs.

So this is like everyone rides their bike up to a long roller like on a chassis dyno, puts their bike on the roller and pedals while recording their miles on their cells so they can bill accordingly?

How about crank driven alternators/generators combining into a battery. If it's on a tandem bike, the battery could drive a motor.

Or, how bout just riding next to your mate? If you're camping, the strong rider gets the bigger bag, and eases up on the hills. Face to face conversation is possible 2 abreast, and the stoker is not stuck looking at the same arse all day.
