Does anyone know how to (if it is possible even) change the colour of an iges file that has been imported into a part file?
TIA
Andrea

Aren't you able to use your render control settings under view color and appearance?

It seems that it is only possible to re-colour the surfaces of an iges import and not the part as a whole. This is long winded and therefore, time consuming! I just wondered if anyone knew of another way.

Try selecting "quilt". If the surfaces are quilted together, this should work.

Please see FAQ731-376 for tips on how to make the best use of Eng-Tips Fora.

Try this:
View-->Model Detup-->Color and Appearances-->Choose or create your own color-->All surfaces-->Unset-->Part-->Set

It worked for me [2thumbsup]
