Hi, im new to this forum so hello all.#

Was wonder, Im trying to learn UG and had a question, can you import point data (I.E - co-ordinates), if so how??

Hi, many thanks, i just found that thread after I started this thread, I have just tried the .dat file way, but its saying "file contains bad point data"
 
I have found that, depending on the file source, the first line in the .dat file is often to blame. Try deleting it from the .dat file and try again.
 
nope, thats still not having it :(
 
Ok, i think I have sorted it

You have write out the co-ordinates in the following manner in the dat file, there must be 7 spaces between each co-ordinate, example,

7spaces x 7spaces y 7spaces z
