Help me!!; I´m lapping mating faces with a lappin flurry (aluminium) on a table of casting iron. Pieces finishes dirty. I process lots of about 200 pcs. I need all them to be cleaned. Nowadays we put them on an alternative washer fulled of maintenance-cleaning liquid which helps removing dirty, but no at all. Does anyone knows an alternative?

What kind of part are they? What are they made of? What size are they?
I've lapped cast iron hydraulic pump and motor endcaps which were up to 12" across and weighed 40-50 lbs. We were a job shop which made the parts and shipped to the hydraulic manufacturer. Nothing was hazardous and we simply washed with water. Ultrasonic cleaning would be effective on a small parts.

Thanks for your advice. Mating face are like washers with a diameter about 1" and heigth of 0.100". They are made of a steel based powder metal. Could anyone tell me where i can find information about ultrasonic cleaning?.
