Clay Heave - Van Der Merwe / Weston Methods of heave prediction

Does anyone have know of an online site which gives a good explanation of Westons or van Der Merwe's methods of clay heave prediction or where any papares from these authors may reside. I had a good collection of these papers but they have gone missing in mail between Ethiopia and Britain and I'm trying to rebuild the collection.
