In the opinion of this fourm which valve should be used in a domestic hot water recirculation loop?

Many years ago I have changed all different type of valves in my house to 1/2" SS ball valves. My practice is to turn each one completely on/off once per months. In my case the water is quite hard-12..15 deg.No problems in 15 years.
