In our architecture license study, seismic tests around flat roof building where we multiply the chord length x building tributary depth x 15lbs to get the chord tributary weight.
Yet in wood frame reality there is the eave side (non roof bearing side) of the building. I wonder on this side should the tributary depth = 14" if we have 1 foot eave+16" end rafter ?
Thx and happy New year

Normally the overhangs would be included in the seismic load tributary to the main diaphragm based on their plan view, projected overhang length. So, in your case, 1'. Nothing extra for the fascia member.
