Hi everyone,

I need to change the license server's IP address for Abaqus 2016 that is installed on my PC. The server uses DSLS licensing, not FlexNet. Is it possible to do it without reinstalling Abaqus?

Thank you.

Just to be clear: The machine where DSLS is running gets a new IP address, right?

Then this does not affect the Abaqus installation on other machines.

When DSLS is defined as license mechanism in the Abaqus environment file, then Abaqus itself looks into the file DSLicSrv.txt (on Windows placed somewhere at c:) to get the provided license servers. So in this text file you write down all machine names (usually one) that host DSLS in your network. If the machine name and the port do not change with the IP address, then you don't have to do anything on the Abaqus machines. Otherwise you just need to adjust the text file.
