Hi,
I have this 4-storey building that contains a basement and because the height on ground floor is 4.4meters high I have to increase the wall thickness to 250mm, but other stories are 3 meters high only and 200mm will work. The walls are all precast.
My question is, for continuous walls such as core walls, will you recommend increase the wall thick on ground floor only OR all the way up from base to top? If so, does it have to be center to center, which will be hard for core wall?
