Change Offset Section view to Offest Section cut?

I've created an Offset Section view which in turn has an auxiliary view associated with it. The customer now wants an Offset Section Cut instead. Can the Offset Section view be modified so that none of the background entities are visible? I really don't want to re-do the section view and it's auxiliary view if I don't have to. Thanks!

I believe you need to recreate the view. I had searched for that several times and never figured it out.

Try using 3d clipping in your section view and adjust the clipping plane to be around .0001 deep.
