Hello,
I'm trying to model something in CFX and the body is large ~ 10m x 15m. I'm performing transient multiphase flow analysis and I want to see how long it takes to fill a body in various situations, the affect of different flow ports etc. Due to the large size I realistically can only model at 1/10 scale at most. Whilst this can help me qualitively tell which of the scenarios is better than others I would like to make a quantitative estimate in how long it would take to fill the full scale model. i.e. is it takes 400s to fill on 1/10 scale, could I use that to estimate how long it would take to fill full scale?
Alternatively is a there a trick I could do with the units to incorporate the scale? Such as the conversion from MKS to µMKS units I've used in Ansys classic before.
I appreciate that anything I try to do would have to be benchmarked and tested myself but any help or points in the right direction could reduce the amount I need to do.
Thanks
George
