I am simulating the debonding of carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) plates attached to steel columns in ANSYS Workbench. In order to model the adhesive, I have used a cohesive zone model and manually input the traction-separation values (see attached picture). The problem is when I review the results of the simulation, the frictional stress along the contact region exceeds the maximum allowable tangential stress (see attached picture). I would be grateful if someone could let me know if I am missing an input somewhere.
