CDU overhead wash water injection quill plugging 2

Injection quill is spiral nozzle, it is not retractable.

Any ideas on what is deposit composition that's plugging quill?

Also, based on the suspected composition what can be injected to dissolved deposit?

Thanks,

Could be wash water with high dissolved solids, could be amm chloride or amm sulfide. Or maybe quill material is not adequately corrosion resistant to HCl vapors in the CDU overheads at operating temp.
What is this "wash water" ? RO water or de ionised water ?

It is sour water with 25 ppm Cl

Yeh! Amonium chloride is the strongest possibility, I don´t see a way to unplugg it on line. Water wash is normaly done in air cooler boxes sections trough 2 inch lines. I think you have to ponder a modification control in your CDU overhead wash water injection.

Suspect this poor quality wash water has scaled up in the tubing and hot side of the injection quill in the overheads line. Scaling due to deposition of Mg and Ca salts. See if you can manually rod out these salts from the tubing and injection quill. And find some better quality wash water with low TDS.

To restart water washing, with your device, maybe let´s say, within 24 hours, is to improvise a paralel device, by doing hot tap, while waiting a better oportunity to shut down the unit.
