I want to be able to align a view axis origin with the global sheet origin in a CATdrawing. The best I have been able to do is get close by manually moving the view axis.

I didn't realize sheets had their own coordinate system. Looks like it's the lower-left corner of the drawing frame.

To align a view origin with the sheet origin:

1. make the Sheet active, and add a point at 0,0
2. make the View active, and add a point at 0,0
3. right-click on the View, and select View Positioning + Align Using Elements
4. select the 0,0 point in the View, and then select the 0,0 point in the Sheet

I'm guessing you want to do this because you're using the data outside of CATIA?

Thanks that did it! I am creating text and saving as dxf for engraving and I prefer to have the text relative to origin for reference when placing.

Check the Position and Orientation toolbar, then select the view and change X an Y parameters to 0.
