I've been trying for years. No API/macro solution found yet.

Grab the bar at the top of the lower FM and drag it to the top.

Read Help > Index section for split

I don't remember when that command showed up, but I know it's there in 2007.

CBL,

Big thanks for the Shift+C!!! One of these days I should get around to digging into some stuff like that to figure how much time I could be saving with hotkeys, etc.

Now if I can only remember how to collapse the feature tree when I get back in tomorrow...

Shift C does something else for me.

Yep, I know it keeps coming back :( That's why I assigned a keyboard shortcut to the split feature manager macro.

When does it re-appear? What operations are you performing?

I only get a split manager when accessing the config manager in an assy, and the Display States appears.

There's only one instance I can reproduce occasionally. If you right-click a component and select View Mates. It splits the FM and often times forgets to unsplit when you're done.
