CAN SW EXPORT ASSY'S THAT CANT BE BOKEN DOWN TO ITS DETAILS OR PARTS

WE HAVE A CUSTOMER THAT WANTS A PARASILID OF OUR MACHINE WE PROVIDED THEM. THE PROBLEM IS THAT WE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO EXPORT THE ASSY THAT THE CUSTOMER CAN PLACE IN THEIR SOLIDEDGE DRAWING AND KEEP THEM FROM ACCESSING ANY OF THE INDIVIDUAL MACHINE PARTS OR DRAWING THAT COULD BE POSSIBLY MADE PUBLIC FOR QUOTES FROM COMPETITORS. BOTTOM LINE IS WE JUST WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THEM A SOLID MODEL OF THE ASSY THAT WILL BE A SINGLE PART AND CANNOT BE BROKEN DOWN INTO ITS INDIVIDYAL PARTS.

WE ARE NEW WITH SOLIDWORKS AND ARE ABSOLULTEY SATISIFIED WITH IT. I CANT IMAGINE SW TELLING US "no", THERE ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE A WAY TO DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.

There is a SolidWorks forum here at Eng.tips, so next time I'd post your question there first. Now for an answer...open your assembly up, do a File/SaveAs, for the Type choose .SLDPRT, then at the bottom select "Exterior Faces", now click Save/OK.

thank you both for the insight. i did not mean to come accross as yelling in any form. for that i apologize. i am fairly new to forums and i really do appreciate the feed back. i know how important it is to get answers from posting and through this forum i have already just begun to help other user that post. i'm very new with solidworks but my goal is to be able to help others with some of the same problems i've had.
