I have an oil burning boiler that requires propane for ignition. Can I store the propane tanks in the boiler room? is there a governing code or authority on this? The boiler is at a Air Force Base.

We installed propane tanks for propane fired generators at a dam several years ago. As I recall, it is the Uniform Fire Code, or maybe the Uniform Building Code that governs the storage of propane tanks.

Try your State Fire Marshall's Office, they can probably point you in the right direction.
