Can anyone refer me to a service/company that can help on calculating shear values on a rupture disk or is anyone willing to do the calculations! Math is not my best subject and I am trying to figure how to determine the material thickness in a one piece rupture disk design (I know it will be an approximate value and I can not use an existing rupture disk out there in the market). The disk is .875 in diameter and is made from 316 stainless steel. The disk is flat and the .875 is where the rupture will take place. Question is how thick does that disk have to be to burst at 1000 psig @300°F. I am also looking for the same answer at 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000 psig. If the calculation can not be made at 300°F then I can also use 72°F.
Thanks for the help.
