Is it common not to show round handled valves as such in 3D models ?

This is general. 3D modelling software question.

I've recently been advised with the current software tool used - it is difficult to represent round handles in the model output visual display so round handles are shown as pan handles. The same for extended handles around insulation.

Clearly we know round handles are drain /vent valves but the pictures and installer often looks for understanding a scope don't show this. And this is part of our robust checklists.

I fully appreciate the ISO's show this correctly but pictures (screen shots) tell a thousand words. And less experienced people / designs forget to point out to the contractors the ISOv picture difference.

I'm curious what is the wider industry practice .. ?

I was surprised about the software we use limitations, it differs from what my pervious experience is

Which software are you talking about and why don't you provide a screen capture?
