Hi,

I am trying to to calculate the contact areas bewteen two assembled components. Has anyone got any idea about how to do it in mechanical desktop? Also its possible to convert a 3D surface to a 3D solid?

Thanks

Hi, You can use the "Check interference" tools to create a solid of the interference contact between the parts and I think that you would be able to mesure it after that.

Good luck
