Dear all,

I need some help regarding about calculating the Brake Horse Power (BHP) from a Centrifugal Fan Drive System.

Basically, this Centrifugal Fan is a pulley driven using a 3 phase Induction Motor.
Based on the pulley selection program, they provide some values such as:-

1) Static Eff.
2) Fan Power
3) Motor Power
4) Fan Speed
5) Specific Fan Power.

I am not sure if these values are useful.

Therefore, how can I derive the BHP value for this Centrifugal fan drive system.

What information do I need in order to get this value? Please help to enlightened. Thanks.

MintJulep,

Thanks for your reply. Can you please help to elaborate more on how can I get the Brake Horse Power value for this Centrifugal Fan Drive System?

Air volume/time * pressure increase = power.
