Cable harness diameter in Siemens NX 10

Hello,

I need to calculate what is a diameter of cable harness (lot of cables that are bundled together, I had to google out this term so I am not sure if it is correct one), using Siemens NX. I read on internet that NX can do it, but I can not find out how to do it.
Can anybody help me, please?

Practically, it is called a packing problem; I think there are no direct solutions to the problem. There are simplified methods for identical circles into a circle.

In any case the result will not be circular, but an rounded irregular polygon.

Same question hangs on NX forum for a few days, but it look like there is no routing application users there, so I posted same question here with hope that I will have more luck. We have harnesses of 200 to 500 cables, and that changes from project to project. It is optical fibers that we use so we need as accurate as possible solution.
