Dear All,
In my project currently in FEED stage, contractor has designed C3 splitter overhead condenser with maximum operating temperature of 80 deg C @ o barg. Normal operating temperature and pressure are 54 deg C (inlet) and 38 deg C (outlet)on process side.
The reason being is column cooking out with water during commissioning when the exchanger is at pressure less.
Is this referring to column drying of water for column cleaning during commissioning and the high temperature as a result of low pressure, but it is still at atm pressure.
Appreciate feedback on the term of "column cooking out with water"
Thank you.
