BST - Bore hole shear test

I don't know this type of test (bore hole share test BST), if is really affidable and his international diffusion.
Is someone that know some publication, text or something of this argument?

GOOGLE gave me 116 Results for BST - Borehole shear test in 0.27 seconds. You should try it, it works really well!
