I have an issue where a brass stud is being used with a stainless nut. Should there be any concerns with using dissimilar materials? Also does anyone know where I can find information on suggested torques for brass fasteners, particularly for an 8-32.

Hi gxo107

Using the dissimilar metals above you good find that galvanic corrosion may take place between the nut and fastener if it is a moist atmosphere.
In addition you don't mention the materials your bolting
together which may also react with your fixings.
Could you provide further information about the joint your making and why you need a brass stud and stainless nut.
