Question: We have purchased a material P355GH according EN 10028-2. In MTR the Boron content is not specified. Shall we perform the chemical analysis to measure the B content to recertified this MTR as per ASME Sec VIII - div.1 UG-10 or not?
Background:
According SA/EN10028-2, ASME sec II part A, 2021, for conforming the chemical composition, we have to check SA-20, para 7.2.4:
For elements that are listed in Table 1 but are not
specified or restricted by the applicable product specification
for the applicable grade, class, and type, product analyses shall
conform to the applicable product analysis limits given in
Table 1.
Table 1. Boron, max is 0.0015 in product analysis and 0.0010 in chemical analysis
